Accessibility Policy

North Star strives to make its services accessible to all clients.

This policy is intended to meet the requirements the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

All services provided by North Star Wellness follow the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

  1. a) This policy applies to the provision of services at premises owned/leased and operated by North Star, and when the provision of services occurs off the premises of North Star Wellness.
  2. b) This policy applies to employees, contractors, consultants and agents who deal with the public or other third parties and who act on behalf of North Star.
  3. c) The section of this policy that addresses the use of guide dogs, service animals and service dogs only applies to the provision of services that take place at premises owned/leased and operated by North Star Wellness.
  4. d) This policy also applies to all persons who participate in the development of North Star’s policies, practices and procedures governing the provision of services to members of the public or third parties.
